Franklin Elementary

This addition allowed the school to add two kindergarten classrooms with vaulted ceilings along with a revision of the hallway system to allow for emergency egress. The new classrooms and stairwell are oriented to the south with large windows to allow for ample natural light and views to the surrounding mountains. The exterior building materials were considered for their economy and the colors selected to complement the original color palette.  The form and fenestration of the building mimics the existing building connecting the new with the old.
