This MHA project consists of eight duplexes (16 units) of transitional housing for homeless families. A community center building serves all the families living there and houses the staff offices. Each of the unit is designed to evoke images of single family homes.  They are similar in form but different in detail and color to provide each family with individual identity. The units are arranged around a central common pedestrian “street” designed to slow traffic for safety and create a common courtyard for gathering. Each duplex has a three bedroom, two floor apartment and a two bedroom handicap accessible ground level apartment.
