Good Design is Sustainable Design

The spaces where we live, work, and play have a profound effect on both our quality of life and the condition of our surrounding environment.  Green buildings are intentionally designed to use less energy, conserve natural resources, and promote healthy environments, both inside and outside the building.

In every project we strive to implement sustainable strategies such as energy efficiency because it makes economical and environmental sense.  In some cases, clients want to take sustainable concepts a step further and document specific achievements using the U.S. Green Building Council's LEED green building certification system.  OZ Architects has five LEED Accredited Professionals on staff to help our clients define sustainable goals at the very beginning of a project.  These goals are used to guide the design process and help the owner and architect make decisions that balance the human benefits, the environmental benefits and the project budget.

Whether a client desires to pursue LEED Certification or not, our primary goal is to design projects that have a long-term, positive effect on their occupants and surroundings by being innovative, durable, comfortable and efficient.
