Broadway Building at St. Patrick's Hospital
This replacement facility for the original 1952 “Broadway Building” is a Regional Health Care Ambulatory Center that serves as the focus of a new integrated delivery system involving 100 physicians and a 200-bed Acute Care Hospital. The new building consolidates the physicians of the hospital campus from Cardiology, Oncology, Orthopedics and several other medical specialties, including primary care physicians.  The project also incorporates a 400-vehicle underground parking structure.  OZ Architects received First Place in the 2002 Concrete Excellence Awards in the Public Facility Category for this project.
Medicine Tree

This is a one story medical office building with a partial basement and houses a group of holistic medical providers. The clinic is situated on a rolling prairie with spectacular views of the Mission Mountains.  The building design is reminiscent of "Prairie School Architecture" with broad overhang hip roofs and horizontal plan.  The owner felt strongly that the building should belong to the site and this was accomplished through site placement, horizontal massing, details, and color.  The basic materials are standing seam metal roofing, 4 inch and 8 inch integrally colored split face concrete masonry and precast concrete lintels.

Comunity Medical Center
Part of the master plan for the hospital campus, we have explored various options for the new Birthing Center at Community Medical Center, a centerpiece of the hospital mission. Another piece of the puzzle is the recent renovation creating the CMC Breast Center, which features a muted palette of materials and natural wood trim.
Marcus Daly Memorial Hospital ER
This project, one of a number completed as part of the larger Marcus Daly master plan, includes a new 20,000 square foot Emergency Department Addition and site revisions. This facility provides patients a warm, comforting, and private atmosphere. Interior daylighting is a key design feature that allows patients and staff to connect with the outside while reducing energy demands. Masonry materials are used on the exterior to provide a classy & durable building shell.
